Our stock, and the reasons we keep it

It's good to have some things at handWe like to keep some of the more frequently used items at arms length, in case of an emergency and to prevent our customers from waiting any longer than necessary. Having said this, a good relationship with our suppliers means the stock that we keep at the workshop is kept to a minimum. |
The items that we find useful to replenish
- Tyres
With a large variety of makes and sizes at hand we can replace your tyres while you wait, perhaps with a cup of tea or coffee. Our current stock ranges from size 145/10 up to 225/40/18, with the lowest price working out at just £19.70 inc vat for a Camac tyre to £150 inc vat for a larger Dunlop - we always replace the valves and re-balance the wheels too.
At our workshop we have the following makes: Dunlop, Pirelli, Michelin, Stunner, Continental, Firestone, Bridgestone, Federal, Maxxis, Evant, Avon, Goodyear, Camac and Firenza
- Service parts
We have found that it makes sense to keep hold of those parts that are changed every so often, such as oil filters and fuel filters, spark plugs, air filters, wiper blades and headlight bulbs. Also, when it comes to servicing - as we have the equipment to carry out diagnostics tests on a large range of makes (unfortunately excluding Japanese) - we are able to re-set service indicator lights - the things that usually illuminate on the dash until the service work has been carried out. The common fluids that we have include three grades of oil - 15w/40, 5w/30 and 10w/30, two types of antifreeze (the blue kind and the pink kind), three types of power-steering fluid, Volkswagon mineral-based fluid, ordinary automatic transmission fluid, two types of gear oil - EP80 and BV oil, and LHM fluid
- More useful bits and pieces
- A large range of auxiliary drive belts - from v-groove up to six-ribbed belts
- We fit car sound systems, head units / CD multi-changers and speakers, so various electrical components and cables are available
- Other components, from relays and engine mat-sensors to ignition modules
- Key-fob batteries
- A range of filler caps (water and oil)
- Equipment and fluid for the re-gassing of air-conditioning systems while you wait
- Specialist stock for emergencies - VW gearbox cams (in case of box failure), water pumps, air-mass meters for VW, Audi and BMW, VW and Renault rear-wheel bearings
- Coil packs for Renault, VW, BMW, Peugeot, Audi and Citroen cars
- Items to take away
- Wheel trims - from only £15 per set
- A variety of car cleaning equipment and winter care products
- Engine additives - fuel and oil, for better economy and engine performance (also advised following fuel drains)
- Brake-cleaner aerosols, brake fluid in small tubs to take away
- Consumables - cable-ties, nuts and bolts, washers, electronic terminals, fuses, hoses (oil and water)
