December
Mid December the village Christmas lights go on.

Throughout the summer, various local organisations hold fetes, barbecues, town band playing around harbour etc. on the Harbour Head, which, particularly during the month of August, is in use at least once or twice a week for those purposes, usually on a Thursday or Saturday.
For an up to date of what is going to happen look at “The Gate” down on the square on the corner of Commercial Road and Shute Lane.
