Do you have any unwanted resources that you can donate to us?
We collect unused, clean, scrap materials donated by local businesses - items that would normally go to landfill - that can be used for creative activities by the whole community.
Our customers include families, childminders, teachers, pre-schools, nurseries, parents, community and craft groups who are looking for good materials at an affordable price to support craft activities and projects, costumes and scenery for plays and unusual materials for parties and rainy day fun.
Our warehouse and shop is stocked with bubble wrap, fabric, card, paper, plastics, foam, ribbon, tubes, wood and more! We now also have a mobile shop "Scrapmobile" to offer resources and creative inspiration to schools and communities throughout Wiltshire. This will help us raise much needed funds, as we have recently been told that the funding for our Early Years outreach projects with Wiltshire County Council, including work with children and young people 0 - 19 years, will be cut by 50% from April 2011 and decommissioned thereafter. This will have a huge impact on our charity and we are therefore looking for any support from businesses and individuals.
All of our materials are collected by our van from businesses and therefore provide a recycling opportunity for unwanted surplus avoiding landfill and giving it a second greatly appreciated life. All of this will be at no cost to the supplier!
So, if you have any excess stock, a change of line, unwanted materials from your production process, or are emptying out your stock cupboard, think of us! Should you be interested in recycling your redundant items in this manner for the benefit of your local community charity, please contact us by either by phone or by emailing smartcuts@wiltsplay.org.uk.
