CRAFT TEA AND TALK:

FLOWER FESTIVAL:

There was a lovely reflective yet rousing Songs of Praise led by Fr. Phil and assisted by the Revd Peter and Margaret celebrating God's many gifts and blessings. The Flower festival was a great success on many levels. So many people came to enjoy good food, beautiful music, and an array of flowers in the many imaginative arrangements. Cromer Seaside Quillers gave an insight into the ancient art of paper curling and donated one of their projects to the Church. There was much interest in the crafts in the Village Hall, the Tombola sold out and the very good and exciting prizes donated to the Raffle ensured its success. So many worked so hard giving of their time and their gifts it is difficult to find the words to express our gratitude and thanks. An astounding £3,160, was raised which was only made possible by everyone who helped and everyone who came and supported this event. Our grateful thanks to all.

AN ART EXHIBITION:

An Art Exhibition by a London trained local artist will be held in the Village Hall on Saturday 19th July 10am - 4pm; and on 16th August. There will be fine paintings, limited edition prints and greetings cards. The subject matter covers wild-life landscapes and historical sailing vessels. - Something for everyone. Refreshments and Light Lunches will be served throughout day at both events. An agreed portion of the funds raised will be donated to All Saints Upper Sheringham for the Fabric of the Church.

THANKS FROM JEAN GARRARD:

Jean writes: I would like to thank all those who gave me cards, gifts and a generous cheque on my retirement after 15 years on the Upper Sheringham PCC, 10 years as Treasurer. I will be spending the money to renew our bird feeders as both Roger and I get a lot of enjoyment from watching the numerous species visiting the garden. (25 so far in 2008).
