THE MESSIAH ON REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY:

The Kelling Consort, Orchestra and Soloists, conducted by Angela, will be performing parts 2 and 3 of "Messiah" at 3.30 p.m. on Remembrance Sunday, November 9th, in Saint Nicholas, Salthouse. We are particularly grateful that all those taking part, many of whom travel a long way from other parts of the country, give their services without any cost, so that the Friends of Salthouse Church and the Royal British Legion can share the full proceeds of the ticket sales. Please come, and encourage others to do so; the music is marvellous.

Tickets from Holt Computers or at the door cost £8.00.

The Church now has ample power installed to take care of the necessary heating and lighting.

FRANK CLARKE'S ORDINATION AS DEACON:

A busload of Weybourne Group supporters were at the Cathedral on Saturday October 4th to witness the most beautiful Service, and welcome Frank into his new world of being a Deacon. The next day, Sunday 5th October, Salthouse Church was filled for the Group Communion service and to hear Frank preach. Tea, coffee biscuits and Diane's amazing celebration cake were enjoyed afterwards. Some pictures of the occasion can still be seen from the News page of www.salthousehistory.co.uk website.

SALTHOUSE ST NICHOLAS' MEDIAEVAL FAYRE:

Saturday 6th December from 11am - 4pm.

And at 5pm,  a Mummers Play and Mediaeval Carols in Church.

This is the first exciting Fayre to take place in the church with all sorts of stalls and mediaeval entertainment including truly astonishing music from a mediaeval piper, a lunch-time hog roast, mulled wine, Father Christmas, a children's workshop, and presents for Christmas. It should be a terrific affair.

There will be more detail about this in the next Link Up and in posters and fliers all over the place nearer to the date The main news is that we want everybody to join in. Can you cook? cakes; sweets, things to sell? Stalls will need helpers, contributions will be needed - bottles for the tombola, gifts and prizes, novelties, books . . .  Dress up and disguise yourself as a mediaeval villager !! (not compulsory!).

Let any of us know if you would like to offer any help at all. (Sarah -  740497,  Val. -  741179, Andrew -  741772,  Jan. -  740663)
