CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS:

Please note that our traditional Carol Service will be on Sunday, 18th December  so the usual help in decorating the Church is needed before then. Please contact Sarah for details.

NOTICE BOARD:

Thanks are due to Jim Perkins for arranging a splendid new board to match the existing Service Notice Board. We are taking the opportunity to repaint the railings and gate to make the whole entrance look good.

MID-WEEK COMMUNION:

There will be a mid-week Holy Communion at 10am on Thursday 26th January to mark the Festival of Titus and Timothy who were companions of St. Paul. Each of these had letters written to them by St. Paul, Timothy had two, and we can find these in the New Testament bearing their names in the titles.

COME AND SING (or just listen to…) “MESSIAH”.

On Sunday 19th December, there will be the traditional performance of Part One of Handel’s “Messiah” together with seasonal carols and mince pies at 3pm (’til 5pm) in Beck House Barn, Kelling.

All are welcome, either as singer or audience.

There will be a full orchestra and soloists along with the Kelling Consort conducted by Angela Dugdale.

Do come! What better way to start Christmas?

There will be a collection for the St. Mary’s Kelling Fabric Fund.

PRAYING TOGETHER – NEW FREQUENCY, NEW FORMAT.

Six times each year, each at a different Church.  More silence and time for private prayer.  Coffee afterwards.

Prayer underpins everything we do and these sessions are one component of our prayer life in this Benefice. Our Prayer Circle members pray daily and will meet to pray together four times each year instead of three times as has been our practice.  Also, the Daily Office is said by our clergy.  These ‘formal’ prayers are additional to the raft of those said privately by you.

The format of the Praying Together hour has already changed and the dates for 2012 will soon be available. Please join us when you are able.   Frank.
