| Q. Why should residents get involved? |
| A
Residents, tenants including leaseholders can benefit from being
actively involved in making decisions about housing
& local services. It
can form a partnership and helps landlords improve its services
based on the comments and suggestions that are collectively
received from resident and community groups.
|

| Q. How can you get involved? |
| A
There are a number of well established tenant and resident
groups across the borough. They meet either on a regular basis
or just occasionally. They often discuss problems and ideas and put
forward suggestions on how services can be improved. The
Federation is looking for other people from across the borough
to team up with us, making our influence even stronger for our
future generations.
|
| Q. What if your group does not want to get too involved? |
| A
We can still keep your group informed through letters, leaflets
and newsletters. We are happy to consult your group about
matters that affect you. We are planning to carry out opinion
surveys and as such we may contact you to take part in these.
Feedback can help us find out what you think of us. You are of
course welcome to make any comments or suggestions to us and we
will take all your views into account.
|
| Q. How the Federation can help you? |
| A We can keep you well informed of plans that may directly affect you or your community. This can be done by a variety of ways, a representative will be pleased to attend any locally run meetings that you are holding. New members will be given the opportunity to receive information and be part of the consultation process. Your group will be invited to attend any of our general meetings where you can meet with other tenant and residents groups from across Trafford. These meetings are an excellent way to raise issues that may be affecting your local area. |
