Hello Sailor! Gunpowder, Treason and Plot
Twinkles Fortuna will be returning to the port of Hebden Bridge and the compere for the evening will be none other than Yorkshire's only boylesque star Duke Wayward, who will entice the graceful and alluring sirens onto the stage of the trades club! Featuring Nelly Plum and Kitty O'Shea. Nelly Plum aims to make you giggle, dribble and guffaw with her ample curves and comedic disposition - she recommends bringing a handkerchief to dry your eyes and anything else that might get wet. Kitty is a total split personality. Part sweet, shy and retiring, part zombie rock n roller! Her style is more neo burlesque meets rockabilly horror, a real treat!! She is your tattooed b-movie bombshell that is pure cheesecake burlesque, mixed with hawt gorlesque, striptease and kitsch teese with added slapstick humour kitty brings her Irish charms and leaves with your hearts. Musical delight will be added by Biscuit head and the Biscuit Badgers.

The Joni Mitchell Project
Singer songwriter Sally Barker has cherished a long-held ambition to present Joni Mitchell’s songs as close to their original form as possible. ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ was one of the first songs Sally sang live and she’s lost count of the times her voice has been compared to Joni’s. She is joined by Glenn Hughes, who also possesses the ability to breathe within the fabric of Joni’s material and give it fresh life. A must for all Joni devotees.

Secret Green with Nic Chapman and the Iceni
Francis Lickerish is most famous as the guitarist, composer and founder member of 70's classic progressive rock band The Enid, with whom he composed and recorded the classic albums In the Region of the Summer Stars and Aerie Faerie Nonsense. After some time away from the music scene, Francis has returned with his new band Secret Green, who recently released their debut album ‘To Wake The King’, receiving great reviews and accolades along the way, being widely feted in the progressive & folk world as possibly the album of 2009. Secret Green’s line up also includes Willie Gilmour (composer / keyboard player with The Enid), Jon Beedle (guitarist for Cliff Richard amongst many others!) and Hilary Palmer on vocals. A great opportunity to see a unique band, still capturing the unique sound of the early days of The Enid, but with a totally fresh approach with Hilary Palmer’s beautiful vocals. A powerful live experience not to be missed. With support from Hebden Bridge singer/songwriter Nic Chapman and his band, playing songs from his forthcoming album ‘Narrow Road To The Deep North’.

Kitsch irony rules the day for our tea dancers, combined with 40s and 50s live music in a truly sensational event. Each event is a delightful spectacle of patterned bunting, embroidered tablecloths, crocheted doilies, table flowers and fairy lights. For the perfect afternoon tea we serve a mouthwatering and lovingly decorated range of classic and seasonal cakes, buns and biscuits along with a selection of sandwiches and lashings of fairtrade tea, all served on the cutest vintage china, mmm...

Cabaret Heaven with Clare Summerskill and Steve Best
Another top night of comedy, music and surprises with two acts so fantastic we're not sure who to put on first. Clare Summerskill was described on Radio 4's Woman's Hour as "a lesbian Victoria Wood" and with her charming mix of stand-up and songs she puts on a great show. And my goodness, she's been on Richard and Judy which is nothing to coming on the Peggy and Bernard Show! Steve Best  is a  great visual comedian harnessing a mind-boggling array of gadgets and gags in a gorgeous display of wild tomfoolery."In a class of his own" said The Times. They'll be joined by Bernard Otter with songs, stunts and surprises, and a guest DJ as well as our own Daz and Dave. Last cabaret of the year!
