White Stork

'Marge' makes the occasional foray from her traditional Cottenham home. Because of her long stay she is 'presumed' to be of captive origin, but to be honest, no-one really knows!

In spring she turned up on the Nene Washes for a week and it was on her second day that I chanced open her, early morning in her roost tree in Lord's Holt. She obliged with this stunning shot - possibly the best I have seen of her.
