Blue-tailed Damselfly
Ischnura elegans
Woodwalton Fen NNR, Cambridgeshire

Blue-tailed Damselfly is one of only two common damselflies found in Britain with a blue-tipped black abdomen. It differs from the Large Red-eyed Damselfly in that it lacks the red eyes of that species and has different habits.

The females come in several forms.
