Azure Damselfly
Coenagrion puella
Woodwalton Fen NNR, Cambridgeshire

Azure Damselfly is one of four similar blue damselflies found in southern England. It is best told from the other three by the 'U'-shaped black marking at the top of the abdomen (segment two), visible on this photo quite well, as the wings are held slightly open.
