Painted Lady Cynthia cardui Prior's Fen, Peterborough - 19 August 2002
Painted Lady has long been one of my favourite insects. Their stunning beauty and the impressive migration they undertake to breed here is awesome and rates as one of my favourite wildlife subjects.
This insect was the first subject photographed through the new Leica APO Televid 62 - and I was not disappointed!
