my garden

At the front of my cottage is my main garden area (no windows overlook the rear garden which has been laid to gravel and paving slabs).

The garden proper measures about 12 x 5 metres, sandwiched between parking spaces at either end, with the shared driveway and hedge to the sides.

I've so far done no planting or landscaping and I am simply letting the garden grow up to see what I have inherited from the previous owner.

The picture left shows the shared driveway and open front with my next-door neighbour. Together, we've established a formidable feeding station which, during the winter, supported more than 450 birds. During the breeding season, it is used by many of the local farmland breeding birds.
