Although I saw a Pallas's Warbler and four Firecrests today, bird of the day was definitely this adult male 'Bramblefinch' which walked up and down the branches of a sycamore, picking off insects from twigs and leaves.
It was in the same clump of trees I had watched a Red-flanked Bluetail in 2000 and until only days ago, played host to a male Sardinian Warbler (which was 'refound' later today!).
