Fork 2 Fork

Fork 2 Fork ran as a successful pilot scheme for a year. At the end of this time we were offered a sizeable piece of land by a local business – Lancaster Brewery – at Lancaster Leisure Park. We are developing this land as an area that the local community and visitors to the area can use to learn about growing their own vegetables and fruit at home.

We are creating a range of spaces – for example, different kinds of vegetable gardens/allotments, herb garden and orchard containing local apple varieties.

Fork to Fork’s site is part woodland – and we are coppicing some parts and developing charcoal burning on the site.

Fork to Fork is an organic, environmentally friendly space in which we are encouraging native trees and shrubs across the site.

Fork to Fork is ideally located, – being situated in Lancaster Leisure Park where there is a regular flow of visitors to the nearby attractions. In terms of this plan it also gives us easy access to potential markets and a high profile setting.
