My parents, in their eighties, urgently needed a new invalid-safe bathroom to be installed so that my father could be discharged from hospital, and go home.

I approached people that I took to be experts — Dolphin Special Care™ — to do the job.

This web site is a public record of my and my parents’ experience.

Please use the buttons to the left to see what Dolphin did for my parents.

I had been in dispute with Dolphin Special Care Bathrooms for well over a year.  That dispute is now over, but I have decided not to remove this website.  This is why:

  • Dolphin Special Care acted negligently, and, for all I know, it continues to do so.

  • Dolphin put my elderly parents’ health and possibly their lives at risk.

  • They reacted to my parents’ problems, and then to this website, aggressively: threatening court action to recover money (yes, they were legally, but not morally, due a few thousand).

  • They eventually agreed to waive their bill, and pay my costs at £106 an hour, but only if I would sign a gagging agreement and close this site.  I refused.

  • Long after Dolphin workmen left my parents’ property, and whilst this dispute was still going on, we discovered still more worrying aspects of their installation: see ‘Dead Birds*

  • I have received scores of emails from people who have been similarly treated, so I know that my experience is not a one-off, which one might forgive.

  • This website has thus saved many elderly and disabled people from suffering at Dolphin Special Care Bathrooms’™ hands.

Unfortunately, I cannot publish my correspondents’ words here, as I cannot verify them.  By publishing, I could lay myself open to an accusation of slander.  Dolphin’s solicitors (who wouldn’t know how to punctuate a compound adjective even if an expert grocer explained Good English to them) have never been able to challenge anything on this site, quite simply because what it sets down is all true

If you’d like me to inform you when this site is updated, please email me through the Contact page.  But don’t hold your breath: I’m done with Dolphin.

* I am aware that there has been some slightly hysterical comment on the web about this water source — and any potential connection to the issue of Bird Flu.  Let’s all keep a sense of proportion, eh?
