Events

Here is a list of the trips and events we hope to run for the rest of this year.

Destination Type When Comments
Birling Gap Seaside / Pub lunch June Was not open last year but we went to this beautiful spot the year before for a very enjoyable day out.
Box Hill Afternoon tea June There is a little bit of walking from the car park to them cafe and shop but if the weather is good it is a lovely spot.
Brighton Pier / Madeira Drive Cafe and coast July Another favourite, if you fancy a walk you can explore the pier and take a stroll along the front. If you are in a more sedate mood we can drop you right outside the cafe and gift shop just across the road from the beach.
Singing in the rain Theatre trip Thu 9th July Another Fairfield halls musical
Tattenham corner Pub lunch August They looked after us very well on our last visit and not a long trip.
Woolpack Banstead Afternoon Jazz / Pub trip August Not tried this one before but it is very local so perhaps worth a try. The drinks are cold the jazz is hot
Dorking, Brighton or Tunbridge Wells Shopping trip September Location to be decided but thought another shopping trip would be popular hopefully we could also find somewhere to eat and watch the world go by for those who would rather a more relaxed day out.
Henfold lakes Afternoon tea September Another tea shop we have not tried yet but it has been recommended to us by more than one volunteer.
Hastings Cafe and coast October Atop the hill overlooking the sea front is a small Cafe. If exploring and shopping is more your thing we could do a drop off and pick up on the front.
Robin Hood (or other local pub) Evening meal / Pub trip October We don't do many evening trips but if enough people are interested we are willing to give it a go.
Brighton Marina Pub lunch November Cheap lunch at the Wetherspoons on the marina followed by a drive along the coast with a stop at a gift shop.
Christmas Lunch Lunch 25th December Roast turkey sprouts etc. if there is the interest and we can get the volunteers we could open for lunch on Christmas day and hopefully get you home in time for the Queens speech.
