|
Susan Milan and Ian Brown have been performing as a recital duo for almost 20 years and the result is an exciting and polished recital programme with subtlety and spontaneity. This is expressed well in the in Musical Opinion review of one of their many recordings “ This is as fine a display of flute playing as you are likely to come across in a hundred years. Milan at the top of her form is irresistible. It is glorious, and Ian Brown’s perceptive and lovely tone contributes its own quality to this exceptionally fine disc”. Programmes are created to suit the taste and acoustic of each venue and their repertoire spans three centuries, embracing works from Baroque to 21st century. The most recent commission for the duo is a Sonatine by Cecilia McDowell which was premiered in the Summer of 2003 |
