Player A starts with the ball. He plays the ball to Player B, at which point Players C and D start to
move down the wings.
Player B plays the Ball back to Player A, and then spins to make a run toward goal.
Player A then plays the ball to either winger, and makes a run toward goal.
The Winger (C or D) crosses the ball for either Player A or B to finish.
Points to watch:
- Make sure the two attackers communicate and dont both run to the same point (e.g. you dont want both going to the near post)
- Make the runs to goal are curved to attack the ball rather than straight to goal. You could use a cone to force this if
necessary
- Make sure the runs are timed to arrive at the same time as the crossed ball - not too early or late
- Make sure the cross comes across the right distance from goal (between the six yard box and the penalty spot)
Make sure the ball is played ahead of the wingers for them to run on to rather than straight to them
You can progress this drill by putting a goalkeeper and then a defender into the game.
