Start with the Defensive Jockeying drill, and progress to two defenders and two attackers.
You will probably want to have a slightly wider pitch.
Points to watch for:
- Make sure only one defender closes the player with the ball
- Communication between the two defenders. They should be shouting to each other to say who is going to the ball and
who is covering
- The covering defender should be slightly behind and to one side of the jockeying defender
- If possible, the covering defender should be on the same side of the jockeying defender as the second attacking player, but not marking directly. Remember this is about covering defense, not marking
