In 1994 Ross Wilson was commissioned to make a portrait of Seamus Heaney. This sketchbook is one of three bound sets of drawings made during sittings with the poet. At the time, Heaney was a visiting professor at Harvard University, Boston. The second sketchbook is in the collection of the artist and the third is in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London

Noel Murphy is one of the most important Irish artists

of his generation.

In 2003 he was awarded a highly prestigious commission to paint the Northern Ireland Assembly in session.

Only one other artist has received such an accolade -

William Conor in 1921.

Murphy's much-acclaimed finished painting now hangs in the Senate Chamber in Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast.

James MacIntyre is one of Ireland's leading figurative artists of the 20th Century. He is a member of the Royal Ulster Academy and has exhibited widely.

An accomplished author & illustrator as well as a delightfully original easel artist, he has written and illustrated several highly acclaimed books- Making My Mark & Three Men on an Island  (an amusing and reflective account of his time spent on the Aran Islands in the 1950's with several other celebrated Irish artists, including Gerard Dillon & George Campbell)
