The Yorkshire Committee, Sue Ryder Care: News

Three Peaks Walk 2007

In May 2007, a team from Bank of Scotland Corporate plus clients and professional advisers completed the arduous 24.5 mile Yorkshire Three Peaks walk in driving rain, in a good time of 11.5 hours. The walk is a very demanding and takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (2,276 feet), Whernside (2,415 feet) and Ingleborough ( 2,372 feet). The low cloud and fog meant that the view could not be admired, hence the fast time.

The team raised £2800 for charity, of which £1000 was very kindly donated by the Bank of Scotland under a staff charity scheme. 50% of the funds were donated to Sue Ryder Care. The team will undertake the walk again in May or June of this year. Please drop us an email if you would like to join us next time.
