What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a system appropriate for the management of a broad range of injuries and ailments affecting people of all ages.
Naturopaths address the underlying cause of disease through effective, individualized natural therapies that integrate the healing ability of body and mind.
The goal of a naturopath is to employ therapies that support and promote the body's natural healing process, leading to the highest state of well-being.
Principles of Naturopathic Treatment
Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere) - use remedies and therapies that are safe and effective;
The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae) - restore and support the powerful and inherent healing ability of the body and mind;
Identify and Treat the Cause (Tolle Causam) - determine and treat the underlying causes of disease;
Treat the Whole Person (In pertubato amino sicut in corpore sanitas esse non potest) - take into account not only physical symptoms, but also mental, genetic,environmental,social and other factors.
Naturopathy is a totally safe non-invasive healing modality. It may appear that your illness/injury or whatever the Naturopath is treating you for fluctuates. Good or bad, this is your body adjusting back to health. It may need time to bring about a cure. Remember you body strives for health.
Natural healing does not replace your doctor or hospital but should work side by side with them for your well-being.
