BUY TO LET MORTGAGES - TERMS OF BUSINESS

This Terms of Business sets out how we will deal with you in the provision of advice regarding your buy-to-let mortgage needs. It relates solely to buy-to-let products. The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate buy-to-let mortgages.

OUR SERVICE
We are a whole-of-market intermediary and will always act on your behalf. Any recommendation we make to you will be based on our research into the whole of market.
 
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
We will make sure that as far as possible, the products and services we offer you will match your requirements. We will give you enough information and assistance so that you can make an informed decision before you make a final commitment. In order to do this; we may need to identify your needs by getting the relevant information from you via a fact find form. We will confirm any recommendation in writing and you should keep this as a record of the transaction.
 
YOUR OBLIGATIONS
It is essential that you are aware of your own duty to provide full details of all factors which a lender may wish to consider in relation to any mortgage proposal that you make. All answers given on any proposal form and any other statements made by you to us are your responsibility.
 
SUITABILITY OF BUY-TO-LET
While recommending a suitable mortgage for the buy-to-let property, we are not providing advice on the suitability of a buy-to-let as an investment.
 
FEES & COSTS
We are remunerated by Lenders via commission after a mortgage completes. We do not charge you a fee for our service unless we have specifically stipulated this and received your agreement in advance. The specific charge and purpose of any fees from us will always be advised to you in advance.
 
COMPLAINTS
Our aim is to provide you with a first class professional and confidential service. However, should you not be satisfied with this service we have internal procedures for handling complaints fairly and speedily. If you wish to make a complaint you should write in the first instance to: The Compliance Officer, Save On Mortgages, 33 The Old Wharf, Oreston, Plymouth, PL9 7NP Please note that the Financial Ombudsman Scheme does not cover buy-to-let.
 
CONFIDENTIALITY & SECURITY

In order to process your application it may be necessary to disclose your information to third parties who may hold this information indefinitely. We may also obtain advice and guidance from professional advisers such as compliance advisers.
