Underfloor
Heating
Underfloor
heating systems operate by distributing warm water throughout your
home via a blanket of polyethylene pipes embedded in the floor.
Radiant
Heat Ltd uses the highest quality 17mm double cross-linked
polyethylene pipe produced by one of the major pipe
manufacturers in Sweden. PE-Xb pipe is both strong and extremely
flexible, and has a built in oxygen diffusion barrier. |
 |
Our
pipe is covered by a 25 year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
Our
manifolds are stainless steel.
Instead
of fitting high temperature metal panel radiators on the wall, Pex
pipes are laid in the floor and warm water is circulated through
these pipes, turning the whole floor area into a large radiator.
Since the floor area is so large compared with a radiator, it can
run at much lower temperatures. In order to achieve these lower
water temperatures, the pumped high temperature water from the boiler
is mixed to the design temperature just before the manifold using the
Radiant Heat mixing valve and variable speed pump. The warm
water is then pumped through the Underfloor system.
Why
choose underfloor heating?
Comfort - The entire room is warmed with an
even distribution of rising heat.
Health & Safety - Danger of injuries on
radiators expelled, heated floors hinder the growth of dust mites.
Money Savings - Heating bills may be
reduced by as much as 25% and the system being virtually maintenance free.
Design Freedom - Almost any flooring can be
used and without radiators you have the freedom to design your
environment as you please.
Environmental - Increased heating
efficiency reduces fuel consumption and is therefore more
environmentally friendly. |
