Gosport & Fareham Easter Festival
This is the first major folk festival of the year. Runs from Tuesday 12st to Sunday 24th March 2008. There are loads of bands on the programme plus street entertainment on the Saturday in the West Street precinct. The Street entertainment includes Pipe Dreams plus several morris dancing bands. Safehouse is the south's improvised music organisation. Based at the Lighthouse Arts Centre, Poole and also in Brighton. Monthly work shops are organised on the third Tuesday at the Lighthouse and joint festival weekends are in November. Several CDs are available of the best tracks from these session, the Unsafe series.

The 2007 Safehouse Experimental Music Festival is to be held on Friday and Saturday the 9th and 10th November at the Lighthouse Arts Centre, Poole. The festival is a two day event featuring local musicians playing along side some of the country's best improvisors. The event promises to be a fascinating experience both visually and musically.
