| Council Leader The Leader, under the new Leader and Cabinet council structure, elected in July 2001, is Councillor Merrick Cockell; he was first elected to the Council in May 1986 and served previously as Chairman of the Education and Libraries Committee and Chief Whip of the Majority Party. |
| Committees The Pembridge Ward Councillors currently undertake the following roles: • Barbara Campbell: Cabinet Member for Corporate Services, Health Partnership Board, Appeals Panel, Tenants Advisory Group. • David Campion: Lead Member to the Leader (including IT and Notting Hill Carnival), Computer and Communications Advisory Group (Chairman), Notting Hill Gate Advisory Group (Chairman), Planning Services/Applications Committee (Vice Chairman), Major Planning Developments Committee. • Doreen Weatherhead: Regulation and Enforcement Review Committee (Chairman), Administration Committee, Community Partnership and Economic Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee, Licensing Panel, Planning Services, Notting Hill Gate Advisory Group |
