NWIDP MEMBERSHIP
Membership offers:
• Reduced rates for NWIDP’s regular educational events
• Access to members only training and continuing professional development
• Up to date information on events and developments relating to psychodynamic therapy, particularly events in the North West
• Opportunities for networking with people from a wide range of professional groups who share a common interest in psychodynamic approaches
• Opportunity to influence the work of NWIDP, e.g. the types of educational events and training on offer in the North West
• Opportunity to become involved with the training of others both internally and external to the Institute

MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Full membership is open to individuals who
have completed the NWIDP Diploma and to
others who can demonstrate they have
equivalent training or qualification.
Associate membership is open to those who
do not fulfil the criteria for full membership
but who are interested in psychodynamic
therapy.
Trainer membership is for full members who have
sufficient post graduate experience to act as
supervisors or personal therapists for
trainees on the Diploma Course. It usually
requires three years post training experience to
act as a supervisor and five years to act as a
personal therapist.
Trainee membership is for those currently
training on the NWIDP Diploma Course.
Honorary membership is by invitation is
offered to therapists who have made a
substantial contribution to the development
of psychodynamic therapy in the North West
of England.
