Every computer system must have memory RAM to function, it is very important to make sure the memory you purchase is compatible with your motherboard and that the memory timing although not crucial matches that of your processor and Motherboard

In general terms there is no maximum limit to the amount of memory you computer other than that dictated by you operating system and motherboard, however you should take into consideration that there is no point in having more memory than your system and software applications will ever use

If you ever add memory to an already existing system be sure to adjust the quantity of virtual memory to 1.5 X the quantity of the installed memory
