Cheltenham College:

Cheltenham College is an independent co-educational school for pupils aged 13-18 years that offers an international focus within a traditional environment. In its recent Inspection Report, the College was judged "a strong and successful community where pupils are very well cared for: they achieve good standards in public examinations and high levels in a very wide range of activities."

Location & Facilities
Established in 1841, Cheltenham College occupies a fine site on the outskirts of Cheltenham. Handsome Victorian buildings in gardens and playing fields provide a beautiful setting with excellent facilities. It is about 2 hour's drive from London.

Academic Achievement
Academic standards are high with 100% GCSE pass rate with 50% gaining A* and A grades and an A level pass rate with 73% gaining A/B grade in 2007. A very high proportion of pupils go on to University with approximately 20 Oxbridge entrants each year.

Sport & Music
There are fine facilities for sports and games with high standards achieved. Music is also strong and play a large part in the lives of many pupils with orchestras, choirs and chamber ensembles.

Boarding facilities
There are seven boarding houses all offering excellent facilities and a friendly place to live. The quality of boarding and pastoral care was judged to be outstanding. All sixth form have their own study/bed rooms.

Academic Support
EFL English is offered as a foreign language to students who need extra support and can be an extensive programme of one-to-one lessons.
