About Us
Gaydon Village Store -
Following a public meeting in early 2008 a commitment was put forwards to explore the possibility of opening a community run village shop. A management committee was appointed and fund raising began to make the shop a reality.
The management committee have applied for registration with the Financial Services Authority so that Gaydon Village Store Ltd can become an Industrial & Provident Society. This registration has now been granted and means that the committee can apply for grants and funds and can also eventually sell shares in the shop to the local community.
This means that the shop will be owned by the community and be fully accountable to the village at an annual AGM.
