Established in 1938 Marston Barrett are a traditional Jewellers, Silversmiths, Watchmakers and Clockmakers dealing in all aspects of the trade from antique and secondhand to modern and contemporary items.

We carry an extensive range of Diamonds, coloured gem stones, Pearls, Gold, Platinum and Silver jewellery of all periods.

Our range of timepieces vary from Art Deco Diamond watches to modern brands Eterna, Rotary and Pulsar.  We also have a wide range of clocks, barometers and barographs from the Georgian period to the present day.

Famous throughout the South of England our ever changing selection of Silver ranges from The 17th century and the reign of Charles II to our very extensive Georgian silver collection and the Victorian and modern pieces.

Valuations . We offer a full valuation service for insurance, probate and sale purposes  , by our two qualified registered valuers.  All of our valuations are done on the premises but home visits can also be arranged.

Repairs. We have a full range of Jewellery ,watch, and clock workshops well known for their first class service and fine craftsmanship. 

Bespoke. Our very experienced jewellery workshop is always keen to undertake the re-designing of old jewellery or the designing and making of any new pieces to your exact requirements.

Engraving  We have three experienced engravers able to undertake any design from simple initials to an intricate coat of arms.

Special Orders. Looking for something unusual that you are unable find in the average high street shop?  With our knowledge of the trade's smaller independent manufacturers we can offer a large range of unusual and indeed unique items.

Buying and Selling  Specialising in Antique and secondhand jewellery and with expert valuers on hand we strive to give the best possible prices when we purchase pieces either single items or collections.

We are also able to offer a service where we sell items on behalf of a client on a commission basis. The confidence and trust of our large customer base built up over many years often enables us with this method to realise the very best possible prices to the vendor.

Situated in the centre of medieval Lewes,the county town of East Sussex, Marston Barrett Ltd is at the top of the High Street directly opposite the 13th century castle.

The ancient town of Lewes contains much of interest including many historical buildings.  The Castle, Anne of Cleves house, the ancient church of St Michael and the ruins of the  12th Century Lewes Priory are just a few.

Lewes also provides an interesting day out for everyone with it's large number of antique shops, second hand book shops and many small privately owned shops selling many varied goods. Plentiful inns and restaurants round off a package that offers a unique day out for everyone.

The town is served by a large number of car parks and frequent trains to the centrally located station.
