ISO 12207 and ISO/IEC 15288.

Notes on the above mentioned standards.

ISO 12207 is an IT life cycle process document which provides a framework that you must have a life-cycle process for the system/software activities. No specific one is identified and no documentation types and content are specified.

ISO/IEC 12207 and ISO 15288 with MIL-STD-498 as an implementation seems to be the best solution for a common global standard; some additional guidance for CMM “Best Practices” can be used to make it universal.

This will be realized by the “Program/Project Standards”.

Will contain re-use guidelines.
