Happy New Year from everyone at Little Cricketts!

December 2011

We celebrated Christmas in style at our Kids' and Parents' Christmas Party. The children enjoyed a fantastic disco with a special guest appearance from Santa, while the parents enjoyed a relaxing evening getting to know other parents and also receiving a surprise visit from Santa!

Merry Christmas to all of our families from everyone at Little Cricketts and many thanks for all of the gifts which are very much appreciated.

November 2011

The children had fantastic fun during Children in Need week and raised nearly £500! A big thank you to everyone who donated. There were smiles all round on our Family Portrait Evening and our parents had some beautiful photographs to take home.

October 2011

This month we had our spooky halloween party. The children went trick or treating around the rooms and got some lovely surprises!

Due to continuing demand Little Cricketts Afterschool is now able to accomodate up to 24 children in our new, exciting Den. For details on availability please contact us on 02894 453418. Afterschool service is available both term time and holiday time.

July 2011

On the 19th of July Little Cricketts celebrated it's first birthday! We had a party and a picnic lunch to celebrate.

At the beginning of July we started our Summer Scheme. Each week we have a different theme and exciting activities, trips and visitors relating to our theme. For example, during Nature Week we had a visit from T.A.C.T. They brought various animals for the children to meet including a fox, an owl, a ferret and a hedgehog! The children went for a nature walk and found some minibeasts and frogs, it was a very exciting week.

June 2011

This month we had a fantastic mini sports day for our Busy Bees and Explorers.All the participants had great fun and loved their medals and prizes. A big thank you to all the parents who came along and participated in our 'Staff and Parents Race'. Keep practising for next year!

May 2011

We will be holding an OPEN DAY on Saturday 21st May from 10am until 2pm. Everyone is welcome. Come along to find out more on Little Cricketts' day care services, afterschool and our summer scheme.

April 2011

This month Little Cricketts had a visit from a lamb. The children also had a great day at our Easter Party, where staff organised an Easter egg hunt, special picnic lunch and a bouncy castle. We also had a surprise visit from the Easter bunny!

Congratulations to Roberta, manager at Little Cricketts, who was a finalist in the 2011 Community Awards for 'Nursery Leader of the Year'.

The children enjoyed a visit from a mummy donkey Molly and her 5 week old foal, Daffodil.

Our special chinese Valentines lunch was enjoyed by all the children and staff.

January 2011

Our children thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas party and their special visitor. Thank you to all parents for your gifts at Christmas.

December 2010

Thank you to everyone who donated to Children In Need, children and staff really enjoyed the pyjama day. We raised a grand total of £244.

November 2010

Well held our first parents night. Little Cricketts would like to thank all the parents who attended our parents night despite the wintery weather.

The After School Service has now relocated to the main building.
