A series of 12 differentiated resource books in four units containing follow-up and reinforcement work for all the main topic areas of the Science National Curriculum at levels 1, 2 and 3 and at levels 2, 3 and 4 for Unit 4.  The first 3 units cover the whole of the KS 2 syllabus.  However, they have also proved to be successful for KS1 and KS3 pupils.  To cater for KS3 pupils a 4th unit has been added that covers all the topics that are not covered in the first three units but are required at KS3.

Three books per unit - A (level 1), B (level 2) and C (level 3).  These books are linked by content but are at a different National Curriculum level to facilitate work with pupils of varying ability.  Sample page 8s from Unit 1 book A, B and C are shown below and illustrate the differentiated approach of this series.

Record sheet with desired learning outcomes - useful for both record keeping and planning a programme of work - each page is shown where it fits into the national curriculum and at what level.

Teacher notes for each page with suggestions for practical, investigative and discussion activities.

Check-up tests to give children experience in and familiarity with SAT - style questioning techniques.

Full glossary of key scientific words to help extend vocabulary.

Unit 4 - Extra activities for KS3

In Unit 4 the books are at levels 2, 3 and 4. There is no duplication with any of the other books in this series. This unit simply covers all the exrtra areas KS3 pupils will need.
