Now,
Pay Attention...
Perhaps one of the
fondest remembered episodes of Dad's Army, the
radio version, again differs slightly to what went before
on television, perhaps because the central action of this
episode centres around Mainwaring and Wilson who are holding
the bomb in the bank vault.
Although
niether the characters of Godfrey or Walker appear, Jones,
Frazer and Pike are in great prominence. Also listen out
for the only radio appearance of Janet King (played here
by Elizabeth Morgan). Miss King never featured in the
TV version of this episode but was a regular throughout
the first TV Series when played by Caroline Dowdeswell.
Famous guest stars for this episode are John Barron as
Mr.West (C.J. from Reginald Perrin) and Frank Thornton
(Captain Peacock from Are You Being Served).
