Television Comedy Duo in the West Country!

March 24th 2002

One half of comedy duo Little & Large, Syd Little and
Dads Army’s Frank Williams feature in A Night with the Stars, an evening of great laughter, good music and gripping conversation. Syd and Frank plan to whisk their audience on a journey down memory lane as they relive some of the funniest moments of classic television comedy.

Frank, whose autobiography is published by Canterbury Press later this year, will be revealing some of the secrets behind his success of more than a decade in theatre, films and television. Whilst still best known as the vicar from Dad’s Army Frank has worked with many of the `greats` including Tommy Cooper, Harry Worth, Dick Emery and Morecambe & Wise. Having appeared in over 100 films including The Pink Panther, his numerous other television series count The Army Game, You Rang My Lord, All Gas & Gaiters and even Monty Pythons Flying Circus.

`I’m looking forward to talking all about the strange and remarkable things that the audience never see, ` says Frank. `Like the time we were filming an episode of Dad’s Army and nearly got flattened by a runaway steam train. `

This unique and intimate evening, hosted by entertainer Chris Gidney, culminates in a personal opportunity for the audience to meet the stars for themselves, and promises to be a night to remember as it tours the West Country throughout May, June, July, August.
