The Gigawave RF system was chosen for the stability and strength of its signal and for its range and reliability. Developed to withstand the rigours of sending live images from onboard a Formula 1 car, the system is well proven and ideally suited to a broad range of other applications, both within buildings and in large outdoor locations. Range is seldom an issue, with distances of over 40km being achieved in open spaces.

As set-up time is kept to a minimum, with no cables to rig, there are significant practical advantages and cost savings to be gained from using our Wireless system. Cameras are free to roam, which ensures that none of the action is missed.

Utilising up to 7 wireless cameras on dedicated frequencies, live digital (SDI) images can be transmitted to giant screens via the mobile production studio, whilst all footage can be recorded on memory cards (in either standard or high definition) for post-production purposes if required. Each of the frequencies may be used by up to four miniature “onboard” cameras, maximising creative possibilities and offering the director considerable flexibility.
