This one-day event will provide a clear and simple introduction to the courts processes and witness box presentation. This course is suitable for those who are working with juvenile or adult offenders

During the one-day course members will:

• Receive information on the Magistrates and Crown Court structures

• Explore participants' knowledge and beliefs regarding courts and court users

• Identify 'who does what' in court

• By exercise and discussion, identify the difference between opinion and fact

• Prepare and deliver a rehearsal in presenting information in the witness box

• Increase confidence in dealing with challenge in court

• Explore how to work with legislation and liaison with other agencies
