Dealing with Difficult   Behaviour

This one-day event will provide a clear and simple introduction to working with people who exhibit difficult or aggressive behaviour. This course is suitable for all those who manage or supervise staff or clients in either the public or private sector. This course does not include techniques in physical restraint.

course 226  - Dealing with Difficult Behaviour

During the one-day course members will:

  • Explore the theories of Anger, Aggression and Difficult Behaviour

  • Receive introduction to Cognitive thinking in relation to attitudes and behaviour

  • Identify and discuss situations where participants exhibit or experience difficult behaviour

  • Explore the difference between assumption, perception and reality

  • Explore and rehearse dealing with difficult people

  • Receive introduction to Assertiveness techniques 

  • Identify negotiation and conflict resolution techniques

Location: Knuston Hall, Northamptonshire

Accommodation additional – 1 night  BBE on request

The event will combine presentation with discussion, exercises and the opportunity for individuals to gain information and confidence in working with difficult or aggressive situations
