GREY CELL TRAINING PRESENTS

Introduction to Working with Young Offenders

This two-day event will provide a clear and simple introduction to working with young offenders. This course is suitable for those who are either interested in working with young  offenders, or who have just begun to do so.

course 219 - Introduction to youth offending

During the two-day course members will:

  • Receive information on the theories of working with young offenders

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of the Criminal and Youth Justice systems

  • Explore the background to why people offend

  • Identify how Cognitive Behaviour works

  • Look at risk assessment and management of offenders

  • Receive information on the different ways to work in the offending agencies

  • Rehearse some common offender case studies and scenes

Course Dates

Thursday 28th February and Friday 29th February 2008

9.30 am – 4.30 pm each day

Location: Knuston Hall, Northamptonshire

Delegate Fee £250 (+ VAT)

Accommodation – 2 nights BBE on request (£104 + VAT)

The event will combine presentation with discussion, exercises and the opportunity for individuals to gain information and confidence in working with young offenders
