Green Cherry Director studies for her MA

Green Cherry Director Ellen Mansell is currently studying an MA in Graphic Communication at the University of Glamorgan as part of her continous professional development and commitment to her business.

Having successfully completed the first 2 years of the course she is set to graduate in 2007.

In 1992, Ellen graduated from Howard Gardens Art College in Cardiff and has worked in the design industry ever since, setting out as a Sole Trader in 1997.

She said “Although I already have a qualification in Design and over 10 years commercial design experience, I think the MA will Increase both my existing design skills and business knowledge”

The MA is specifically aimed at professional graphic designers to update existing skills and has helped Ellen in her ideas for the future development of the business. She said “This course has given me the confidence to expand the business, should I decide to do this, once I have graduated”

She said “It is important to know where the business is going and the course has definitely helped me achieve specific goals for Green Cherry”.

The studying will not end in 2007 as Ellen has plans for yet more studies, she continues “On completing the MA in Graphic Communication I may sign up for the MA in Marketing or the MBA, I am not quite sure at this stage which would be more beneficial to the future development of the business”
