Goodman's House is a Grade ll listed building which dates back to the 18th century; the cottages were converted from the original barns and outbuildings about 20 years ago, and between 2005 and 2007, they were completely modernised and refurbished, and the new heated outdoor swimming pool was installed.

We welcome well-behaved dogs, but there are certain parts of the cottages and gardens (bedrooms and swimming pool area in particular) where they are not allowed. It's also worth noting that dogs are prohibited from many beaches in this area during the Summer months.

It is a condition of our insurance that children under the age of 16 may not use the swimming pool unless under adult supervision - please see our terms and conditions for full details. Swings and outdoor table-tennis are also provided - weather permitting !

Your kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, and we can stock your fridge and store-cupboard if you let us have your shopping-list a few days prior to arrival.

There are no telephones in the cottages but most mobile phones can get a decent signal in some parts of the cottages and grounds.

Furley Cottages are in a very rural location and many of our neighbours are working farmers, so if you meet them on the road, please remember that it is probably easier for you to reverse your car, than for them to reverse a tractor and trailer, or a flock of sheep !

Your satellite navigation system may propose a different route to our suggested directions - we advise caution, not every road on the map is suitable for "normal" passenger vehicles !
