won the NATIONAL PAIRS at WORTHING
on 20th AUGUST 2008!
The F & S BC is a popular (outdoor flat green bowls) club situated just off the Promenade and Sea Front at Felixstowe in Suffolk in the UK. The Clubhouse lies between the front and back greens. The front green of 6 to 8 rinks is surrounded on the other 3 sides by beach huts providing seclusion for bowlers and pleasant surroundings for spectators. The back green of 6 rinks is high fenced with seating for spectators.
We have Gentlemens', Ladies' and Mixed Competitions, plus coaching for
Newbies. Associate (social) members are also made most welcome with an
excellent bar and social entertainment calendar throughout the year.
The Club closed for bowling for the winter after the Charity Bowl on 29th September 2007, when £1000 was raised for the East Anglia Air Ambulance
The Club re-opened for bowls on Saturday 26th April 2008
The Charity chosen for 2008 is "HEARTBEAT"
Jill Lemon was elected as President for 2008
This is a historic appointment as
the first ever female President for 75 years
