M & D and East Kent 60 Anniversary rally
The next show we are attending is the M & D and East Kent 60 Anniversary rally. The Heritage Transport Show is at the Kent Showground, Detling near Maidstone on the 31st of March. After the success last year of the M& D Centenary bus rally the M & D and East Kent enthusiast clubs have joined in to build this event and the number of buses and coaches attending this rally is growing by the day so it has all the promise of a great day out. During the day there will be free bus rides around the site and Arriva have arranged a frequent bus service between Maidstone and the Show Ground. Our display will be under cover in the main display building. We will have samples of our new castings of the Bristol VRT, Alexander Y Type Bus and Alexander Bristol RE coach and pre production model samples. We will have a display of fleet boards with models from the area, there will be a raffle and we will have a small Scrap Yard for scratch builders to discover some of those items they have been looking for.
