Medium and large scale installations must be designed and custom built, to provide the wider range facilities needed by the
user. The equipment will normally be grouped together in a central rack assembly, and connected to any given number of control points around the building. Connection may be by conventional multicore wiring,
data cable or fibre network.
Typically, commercial systems will permit multiple microphone & music inputs to be routed separately to designated loudspeaker zones. They may give differing levels of control to the various operators, and display a variety of status conditions for security purposes.
Alternatively, a System used in a presentation or lecture theatre may require more precise control of sound reproduction, and remote control of playback machines & displays.
