Skills for Care - Training
Skills for Care places great importance on the carers voice, and that voice is reflected in many areas of our work. In recognition of this importance Skills for Care is sponsoring ‘Carers Week’ which is fast approaching and due to take place week commencing Monday 13th June 2011, see www.carersweek.org.
As part of it’s contribution to Carers Week, Skills for Care will be launching 'Carers Matter - Everybody's Business', a new learning and development framework - with supporting resources - to support learning amongst professionals, to better support carers. This is a free resource, available on the Skills for Care website, and has potential long term benefit for use with a wide variety of staff working in differing roles. (www.skillsforcare.org.uk/carers).
- First, is a Skills for Care presentation on 'Carers Matters – Everybody’s Business’. This is a read-only document so when you open it, a window will appear asking for a password, just click the read-only button.
- Secondly, is a ‘Frequently asked Questions' sheet which explains the framework, its benefits, and the business case for investment in carers.
- We can also supply a limited number of printed leaflets that publicise and explain what CMEB is for etc. These are available to request through our Derby office, telephone 01332 345270 or email emrc@skillsforcare.org.uk
