Trustees needed from a caring background

Derbyshire Carers Association’s Management Board is responsible for the strategic direction of the charity and stewardship of its’ resources. It is highly active at a strategic level and requires the energetic input of trustees who are able to support and add value to the work of its employed staff.

We are currently seeking new trustees from a range of caring backgrounds to help guide the organisation in this challenging financial climate towards the ambitious aims outlined in our three year strategic plan. Specifically, we need people with experience in finance, marketing and fundraising as well as a strong commitment to improving life for Carers. They should also bring innovative thinking, drive and enthusiasm to support the future development of the charity.

These are non-remunerated posts but reasonable expenses will be paid. New trustees will be given an induction to the organisation and training where appropriate.

Training opportunities

Derbyshire Carers Association have occasional training opportunities for people, with experience of either caring themselves or of working within the caring sector, to deliver training to people working within the Carers sector across Derbyshire.
