Our History
Derbyshire Carers Association (DCA) was set up by a Carer in 1988 to offer support and information to other Carers. The Association's first employee started work in May 1989 and we now have a dedicated team consisting of:

Derbyshire Carers Association is a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee. The Association receives funding from Derby City Council, Derbyshire County Council and the Primary Care Trusts of Derby City, Derbyshire County and Tameside and Glossop.
A Management Committee comprising of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer plus six Carer representatives and four statutory representatives oversees the running and efficiency of the Association.
