MICKLEOVER Support Group - new venue
The Mickleover Support Group is run independently to DCA by Carer Mike Smith and has now moved venue from the Mickleover Library to Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Uttoxeter Road, Mickleover (next to the garage, just off the island) every second Monday of the month from 2.00pm until 4.00pm. 14TH OCTOBER 2011 AT THE WINDING WHEEL, CHESTERFIELD.
Photos to follow soon following this hugely successful event where over 100 carers and guests enjoyed an evening of dance to Michael Buble Tribute Act, Band and Disco. Plus Dancers, Raffle and Buffet. . Thanks go to Making Sopace, Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Carers Association for their involvement in the organisation.

These workshops are being offered to Social Services, Health Care and Housing Staff and workers within the voluntary sector across Derbyshire.
“Carers Matter — Everybody’s Business”
The Carers Strategy Project has been commissioned by DH, and is being delivered by Skills for Care and Skills for Health. These workshops provide the opportunity to undertake development activities that have been specifically devised for the Carers Strategy Project.
This workshop builds on the Understanding and Working with Carers Together workshop delivered during 2010 and previous attendees will find this a useful continuation of the programme.
First time attendees will also find the programme both informative and useful.
